Psychiatric Evaluation

Your first visit with Dr. Calvosa will be a 90 minute session where she will sit with you and learn about your medical history, symptoms, concerns, and overall health. This meeting will provide Dr. Calvosa with the baseline information she will use to determine your diagnosis and develop your treatment plan.

Psychopharmacology

Dr. Calvosa relies on both her experience and her ongoing research of new medications to determine the most appropriate and effective course of psychotropics for her patients. She also communicates with her patients between appointments, as needed, to monitor effectiveness and side effects.

Dr. Calvosa does not rely solely on medications to resolve all issues. She employs 30 to 45 minute psychotherapy sessions, in conjunction with medication evaluation and management as needed. Patients experiencing difficulties such as the loss of a loved one, family issues, problems at work, anxiety, depression and many other challenges benefit greatly from psychotherapy sessions.
